HARRISBURG – By a unanimous vote, the House today passed legislation, co-sponsored by Rep. John Schlegel (R-Lebanon), which would extend a law giving Pennsylvania schools flexibility in the hiring of substitute teachers.

Gaming Proceeds Provide Grants to Enhance Communities

HARRISBURG – Rep. John Schlegel (R-Lebanon) announced the 101st Legislative District will receive more than $200,000 in grants stemming from state gaming revenue. The funding, provided through the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, was approved today by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), and is being awarded to counties and municipalities impacted by local casinos.

Local Fire Companies to Receive State Grants, Says Schlegel

HARRISBURG – Rep. John Schlegel (R-Lebanon) announced today that 21 fire companies in the 101st Legislative District have been awarded about $210,000 in state grants through the 2022-23 Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program. The grants are the local share of more than $31 million being awarded statewide.
